Prix de Lausanne Master Classes
Via Press Release:
To celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, the Prix de Lausanne, for the first time, is offering a series of classical Master classes across six continents, each one taught by a distinguished Prix de Lausanne prize winner, offering participants a rare opportunity to take class with some of the world’s most celebrated dancers and to hear directly from them about their experiences of the Prix and its impact on their careers.
The series begun in May this year and continues over this summer, with selected Master Classes throughout the world taught by ballet stars like Marcelo Gomes (São Paulo), Wim Vanlessen (New York), Federico Bonelli (Amsterdam), and Sue-Jin Kang (Zurich).
These classes are available through an online registration process, on a first come, first served basis, to male and female students who are aspiring to a career in dance. In every location, there are two classes, for 14-15 and 16-17 year old students. Each class is followed by a chance to find out more about the Prix and the opportunities it offers, through a short film and a Q&A session with the Prix winner and a member of the Artistic Committee. Details can be found on the
Prix de Lausanne website.
